			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The first run on my very own treadmill went okay. Let me get my excuses for it not being better out of the way first&#8230;I didn&#8217;t run until 9:30pm because my day was so busy and by the time I got home it was already dinner time (another reason why I want to move out of my parents&#8217; house asap - plan my own mealtimes!!). Running after dinner even if it&#8217;s a few hours after <em>definitely</em> does not feel too well!</p>
<p>So on to my workout&#8230;I did a total of 35 minutes, a little over 3 miles at a grade of 2%. I had 1-minute walks (at 3mph) at 10:00, 13:00 and 17:00 and at 20:00 I decided to do sprints as I could feel that I wouldn&#8217;t be able to run for longer periods much more. I did three sprints: one for 1 minute @ 8mph and two for 45-seconds @ 9mph.</p>
<p>Overall what do I think? <strong>YAY!!</strong> I <u>love</u> the treadmill despite the display being a little too dark and angled so that it&#8217;s a bit hard to read while running.</p>
<p>Goals: Run daily and be able to run @ 6.5mph for 30 minutes straight by the end of this week (sunday). I also want to record my runs daily, both on here and I will get a notebook by the treadmill so I can record exact times/speeds/grades, etc.</p>
<p>Also add two 45-minute walks to my exercise for today <img src='http://stinkhund.buddyslim.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> Gotta love being a doggie person!!</p>

She later decided that she would&#8217;ve regretted spending that kind of money on a treadmill and she now no longer wants to buy one. I told her that I <strong>will</strong> be buying one, as I&#8217;m going crazy not being able to run and the gym would be a waste of money for me because I wouldn&#8217;t be able to go enough.</p>
<p> So&#8230;I&#8217;ve decided that I will buy a treadmill with my money. Which one? I&#8217;d love to buy the cheapest one, around $130 but it&#8217;s really crappy so I think I will go for the one that my mum almost bought at Walmart. It&#8217;s $377 and has really good reviews. Does anybody else have this brand/type of treadmill??</p>
<p>I&#8217;m so excited by the thought of having a treadmill and being able to run <em>everyday</em>!! I&#8217;ll be skinny in no time!! Hopefully I&#8217;ll be able to get the treadmill tomorrow&#8230;!!</p>

We have about 2 feet of snow though and the roads are still slippery so there is nowhere for me to run&#8230;except at the gym&#8230;At the gym I &#8220;go&#8221; to I can do a 2-week membership ($30) and when I started I did it for 2 weeks and then left for England on a trip and never went back to the gym after. Whoops! I&#8217;ve been thinking about going back for the past few days though, but for me it&#8217;s hard to figure out if I&#8217;m gonna be able to go 5-7 times a week otherwise I think it&#8217;ll be useless. The problem is that I work 8-12 and 4-6, ride horses and walk dogs in between 12 and 4 and always have stuff to do at 6 (pick up mum from work if I have her car that day, go out with friends, eat dinner with family&#8230;). That means I&#8217;ll have to go before 8&#8230;Let&#8217;s see, I spend at least 1 hour at the gym, have to change and cool down after&#8230;.that means I&#8217;d have to go at 6/6:30am and I&#8217;m not a morning person at all! Not sure what I&#8217;m gonna do, but I really WANT to run!! Grrr snowy New England!</p>

<p><hr />Didn&#8217;t do as well as I hoped but at least the thoughts were there again, I guess that&#8217;s a good start. Didn&#8217;t go for a run as it was -12*C out (bad excuse I know&#8230;) so I&#8217;m thinking of maybe joining the gym again. The problem with that is that I don&#8217;t have a car between 8/9am and 5/6pm and after that I usually have plans/family dinner. So I guess I&#8217;ll have to stick with running outside&#8230;*sigh*</p>

<p>Spent nearly three weeks in England the week before Thanksgiving for my graduation. I&#8217;m gonna blame living with my parents to me not losing weight. <p>Finally found out who the other three volunteers are on the prairie dog project. One of the girls is a stick-thin model and she found out there&#8217;s a 7-mile trail from our trailer to the research site that she wants to run everyday. As I&#8217;d mentioned I enjoy running she asked if I want to join her. Obviously I&#8217;ll say yes, it&#8217;ll be awesome to run that much! The only thing is that I&#8217;ve never actually run that much&#8230;Most I&#8217;ve ever run is 6 miles. Oh dear..!! I think I&#8217;m gonna be in amazing shape by the time July rolls around <img src='http://stinkhund.buddyslim.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Not much other news. Getting back into the routine of riding China 4x a week, walking my neighbours&#8217; doggies and working at the kennel. Have been getting more into my photography again though <img src='http://stinkhund.buddyslim.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I miss England <img src='http://stinkhund.buddyslim.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> I&#8217;ve been applying to jobs and I&#8217;m secretly hoping I&#8217;ll get one before March even though I&#8217;m excited about the prairie dog project. *Sigh* I just don&#8217;t know!</p>
